While the hallmark of the Acousticats' sound is the seamless interplay of twin
fiddles, fine original songs provide the catalyst for innovative arrangements,
finely tuned harmonies, and hot solos. Their influences are steeped in the past,
but The Acousticats are part of a new and emerging tradition of music.

When they formed in early 1990, The Acousticats
made a commitment to write and produce music which reflects their love of american
musical tradition. This commitment is evident in their performances which have
received encores of approval throughout the west. Now, with their first release,
"Down at Evangelina's" on Flying Fish Records, critics and audiences all over
the country are tuning in to the sound of The Acousticats.
